Scarlet Cord

The scarlet cord was a sign of hope for a woman named Rahab and her family. When their city was facing destruction, Rahab knew that the only hope for a future was in the LORD. To secure their safety, Rahab hung a scarlet cord from her window.

 

This was a sign of trust in God's protection.

 

Similarly, our families strugge in the face of death. Let us choose the same Scarlet Hope as we look to God to save our children and shelter our families from the violence afflicting us.

 

Prayer of Hope

LORD, "You are God in heaven above and on earth beneath" (Joshua 2:11); You can do what no other power can. Today, like Rahab, I also put my HOPE in You. Show Mercy to my family and me. May the life of my children be precious to you and bring this household under Your Protection. May the children and fmilies on my block dwell safely and know Your Peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

 

Scripture: For I know the thoughts I think towrad you, says the LORD, thoughts peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11)
