Nu-Church Movement

FAQs

01

Why the name, "Nu-Church"?

The LORD dropped the name “Nu-Church Movement” into my spirit as a way of describing the work of reformation that was coming to the church, and that I would be engaged in. Three days later we attended a worship conference in Whitewater, Wisconsin. There a worship leader I had never met was singing a song I had never heard. The name of the song was “New Church Rising.” This was an amazing confirmation to what the LORD had just said. The "Nu" spelling speaks to the fact that youth will be key leaders in this movement. - Steven K. Stultz, Apostle

02

What is the Nu-Church Movement?

"Nu-Church" describes a wave of Reformation that is presently taking place within the Church. Through this reformation, God is freeing the Church from structures and systems inherited through Romanism and is restoring it to its true (biblical) foundation and model. Those who are embracing the word and work of Reformation are part of the Nu-Church Movement. The Movement is not an organization, rather NuCAM chose its name to reflect that it is a part of the Nu-Church Movement.

03

What is Kingdom church community?

Since the days of Constantine the Church has gradually lost its original structure and way of functioning. In their stead, the Church adopted Roman structures (such as hierarchy) as well as structures from other cultural surroundings (such as the "corporate model" of the Church found in the U.S.). Kingdom church community describes a grass-roots demonstration of the Church returning to its biblical foundation and model of "koinonia" (translated, fellowship) as found in Acts and the epistles.

What is a Battle Group?

A Battle Group consists of 10,000 believers who agree through prayer and giving regarding the works of God for their region. The first Battle Group is being organized in the Chicagoland region.

Chicago Battle Group members agree that this is a day of visitation for Chicago. The Lord Jesus has come into our city to Reform His Church, Raise an Army, Transform our city, and Restore the nation. Through prayer and giving we are joining our efforts to see two initial demonstrations of transformation in our region (Garfield Park and Englewood, two of our hardest hit areas) that will be a sign and a testimony to the rest of the region.
